On June 16, María Dueñas will present her latest novel, Por si un día volvemos, at The MOP Bookstore. During this event, the author will engage in a conversation with journalist and writer Xesús Fraga.

María Dueñas

María Dueñas (Puertollano, Ciudad Real, 1964) holds a PhD in English Philology. After two decades dedicated to academia, she burst onto the literary scene in 2009 with The Seamstress (El tiempo entre costuras), a novel that became a publishing phenomenon. Its television adaptation by the Spanish TV channel Antena 3 garnered numerous awards and achieved outstanding ratings. Her subsequent novels — The Vineyard (Misión Olvido, 2012), The Vineyard Keeper (La Templanza, 2015), The Daughters of the Captain (Las hijas del Capitán, 2018), and Sira (2021) — have continued to captivate both readers and critics alike. Translated into more than thirty-five languages and with millions of copies sold worldwide, María Dueñas has become one of the most beloved authors in Spain and Latin America.


Por si un día volvemos is her sixth novel.
