Happenings

Book signing of the Doubts exhibition catalogue with Paolo Roversi.

On Friday 19 June, the day before the opening of his exhibition Doubts, Paolo Roversi will be signing copies of the exhibition catalogue at the MOP bookstore.

This signing will be preceded by an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition led by the Foundation’s team of guides.

Attendance at this event is limited to 50 people. Free tickets (maximum one per person) will be available one week before the signing (Friday 12 June) from 11 am.

To streamline the signing process, booking a place requires the advance purchase of the catalogue, priced at €69.95, which will be handed to each attendee shortly before the signing takes place.

About Doubts

Doubts, the MOP Foundation’s 2026 summer exhibition dedicated to Paolo Roversi, brings together iconic masterworks and previously unseen images on an intimate journey through Roversi’s artistic universe. It will feature many of the characteristic elements of Paolo’s approach including his abiding fascination with the experimental possibilities of Polaroid. For Doubts he will transform the gallery space into a network of nine inter-connected rooms expressing different aspects of his aesthetic —Theatre, Appearances, Shadows, Doubts, People, Presence, Grace, Beauty and Fading until 20 September. Taken as a whole, these sections demonstrate the full extent of Roversi’s technical mastery.

Doubts – the book

Throughout four decades, Paolo Roversi has forged a photographic language that is a unique blend of elegance, mystery and vulnerability. As the book that accompanies the exhibition demonstrates Paolo’s best work has an almost uncanny ability to extend the life of his images beyond the gallery wall.

Over the span of 344 pages, Doubts is both an echo of the exhibition – arranged according to the same sequence of themes: Theatre, Appearances, Shadows, Doubts, People, Presence, Grace, Beauty and Fading – as well as a set of commentaries on Paolo’s work by collaborators and critics including Vince Aletti, Wim and Donata Wenders, Carla Sozzani, Darius Khondji, Sarah Moon, Malgosia Bela and Saskia de Brauw.

Designed by M/M Paris with original drawings by Mathias Augustyniak and published by MOP Books, Doubts will be available from the Foundation bookstore and online.
