The MOP Talks: C.Tangana
AN INTIMATE CONVERSATION BETWEEN C.TANGANA AND SANTOS BACANA.
The artist C. Tangana was the protagonist of the first talk of the second edition of The MOP Talks.
In an intimate conversation with Santos Bacana, C. Tangana reflected on the challenges faced by a singer compared to those of a film director. The talk focused on topics such as his current artistic moment, the creative processes in the studio or “the boldness of ignorance” as a driving force for creation.

The album El Madrileño established Antón Álvarez (Madrid, 1990), better known as C. Tangana in his musical career, as one of the most innovative figures in the contemporary global art scene. In the documentary Esta ambición desmedida (Velódromo 2023), directed and produced by Little Spain, which follows his creative journey in recent years, he repeatedly expresses his desire to direct films. What wasn’t clear at the time was that he was already filming his first feature, La guitarra flamenca de Yerai Cortés, later awarded two Goya prizes.
