David Sims: The Hamster Becomes the Problem

The MOP Foundation will dedicate its next exhibition, The Hamster Becomes The Problem, to the British photographer David Sims.

Born in Sheffield in 1966, David Sims has, throughout his career, shown remarkable sensitivity to shifts in contemporary culture. From editorial, advertising, and personal contexts, Sims has continually challenged the conventions of fashion photography.

Moving between fashion and documentary, intimacy and performance, rebellion and tenderness, the exhibition reveals an artist continually attuned to changing ideas of identity, beauty and representation, who instinctively understands his role as an image maker finely attuned to the sensibilities of his audience.

The Hamster Becomes The Problem opens at The MOP Foundation, Muelle de Bateria, A Coruña on November 21, 2026, and runs until 1 May 2027.
