The Marta Ortega Pérez Foundation (MOP Foundation) was established in 2022. Its project, centred on staging first-class exhibitions, is built on three guiding pillars: Fashion, photography and A Coruña.

The Foundation carries out its activites at the MOP Centre, a former industrial space redesigned by architect Elsa Urquijo, located in Muelle de Batería, in the port area of A Coruña. In addition to photography exhibitions dedicated to great masters, the MOP Foundation promotes other cultural activities and boasts its own specialised bookshop.

Admission to the exhibitions promoted by the MOP Foundation is free. Proceeds from the the sale of exhibition merchandise have enabled the creation of Future Stories, a programme that supports young creatives at the beginning of their artistic careers. Each exhibition is also accompanied by an educational programme led by local artists, designed to bring the work of major photographers into Galician classrooms, thus promoting in-depth knowledge of their work.
